Our annual festival of debauchery (wargaming-stylee, natch) happens on the first weekend of December. This year Saturday the 6th of December will see the club open at about 9am for members to join in an array of games, with historical, sci-fi, fantasy and all points in between being represented. Bring your own game if you wish, or you're welcome to join in any games already organised - there's Aliens, Another Glorious Day in the Corps to join in, with some ACW-type action on another table and an offering of Hail Caesar (Wars of the Roses faction) already lined up to amuse and delight and there is sure to be more on offer during the day.
On Sunday Carl and Lucy will be offering an intro game of Gaslands, so that's a chance to find out why they have so much fun with the crazy car-based mayhem game on a Monday evening. Just turn up and check it out - there's plenty of room for a quick whizz around the track and a chance to blast your opponents off the face of the planet. Who knows, you could even pimp your old HotWheels collection and join the Gaslands League when it starts next year!
Don't forget to bring your entry for the Inaugural Painting Competition - prizes and certificates abound. Collect a ticket and attach it to your entry when you arrive.
In the evening on Saturday we generally have a curry and watch a film (and continue to drink beer). It'll probably be a war film which leaves it wide open I guess (Gone with the Wind, anyone?) but one thing's for sure - it won't be White Tiger again (or any sequels).
