On Sunday 14th December, nine Old World players braved the dreaded Super Flu (seven last-minute dropouts!) and gathered in the World of Legend for our very first Old World Game Day.
The aim was simple: bring together a group of like-minded The Old World players and start building a scene at SWS. We kept things deliberately casual, with plenty of time for each round and a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
Players took part in two games. The first was Upon the Field of Glory, followed by King of the Hill. Both missions were selected for having fixed six-round limits, with victory determined solely by Primary objectives to keep scoring straightforward. The group included an even mix of experienced players and those returning to Warhammer Fantasy.
A great time was had by all, with light-hearted prizes on offer for:
- First unit to flee off the board
- First General slain
- First player to roll snake-eyes on a charge or spell cast
Final standings were:
- 1st Place: Dan
- 2nd Place: Craig
- 3rd Place: Dom
We’re now planning our next event: a 1,500-point tournament for up to 16 players on 8th March 2026. If you’re interested in taking part, please get in touch!
