We've had sneak previews of the scenery for John Geary's Big Idea this year but nothing could have prepared us for the full extent of the game he produced for Partizan.

With a huge castle and a massive temple, the Japanese scenario covered over 8 tables in an interesting U-shape and involved not just one, but two rulesets being played simultaneously.   Lion Rampant rules were in play for the big assault, and Test of Honour for the side-skirmish.

The table gained a lot of interest from new and seasoned wargamers alike,  There were the expected vignettes around the table, along with six Pokemon samurai (gotta catch 'em all) which, considering the audience, were bound to attract a lot of attention.

In the end a win in the Best Demonstration Game category was duly (and rightfully) awarded.

This was a team effort, with a number of members providing and painting figures, and helping out on the day.  Special mention goes to John himself as the mastermind and main creator of the project, and to Paul Titley and Greg King for artistic, modelling and deep wargaming experience.
